The cohort is composed of diverse professionals from various real estate disciplines. As a new ULIDFW initiative to increase diversity within the real estate industry, participants will explore additional ways to provide opportunities for participation locally. The PTI cohort will also actively champion partnerships outside of ULI to assist with expanding DEIA goals.

Participants will be immersed in twelve-months of leadership development including an Urban Plan training day, presentations, and other various community engagement opportunities. Cohort members will both learn from industry icons and participate as subject matter experts on issues impacting Dallas Fort-Worth. “The Pathways to Inclusion program encourages us to be intentional at the District Council to identify and engage with a diverse pool of those individuals who will be the voices of the real estate industry in the future,” says Executive Director Tamela Thornton, who has championed the program launch for Dallas-Fort Worth.

“We deeply care about the future of ULIDFW and share a desire to see the district council and the industry strengthened by attracting more professionals of color,” said PTI Chair Onaje Harper. PTI Co-Chair, Nicole Fitzgerald added, “ULI members are involved in all aspects of the development and city planning process – private, public, and non-profits so we are excited to see ULIDFW include Pathways to Inclusion to its offerings.”
