Champions of Change Committee
The Champions of Change Committee is committed to empowering diverse representation and fostering inclusive practices within the commercial real estate industry. We firmly believe that embracing diversity leads to the development of stronger, more equitable, and thriving communities.
At ULI Dallas-Fort Worth, we understand that true progress requires a combination of education and deliberate action. That’s why we have established the Champions of Change Committee to umbrella all of our affinity groups, which focus on specific areas to help pave the way for new and inclusive pathways and practices in the real estate industry. Each affinity group is dedicated to providing opportunities for education, mentorship, networking, and leadership development.
We call upon YOU to become Champions of Change by volunteering with us. As a volunteer, we expect you to share our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and actively contribute to our mission of shaping, inspiring, and transforming the built environment and communities in the DFW region. Your involvement will help drive positive change within the industry and promote inclusivity at all levels.
Committee Expectations:
Active Participation in Affinity Group Meetings: You will receive invitations to join all affinity group committee meetings. We encourage a rotational approach, ensuring that each member of this committee has representation at each affinity group committee meeting.
Contribution to Impactful Programming: Collaborate as needed on curating a diverse range of programming and/or speakers for our affinity groups, ensuring that it reflects the voices and perspectives of individuals from various backgrounds and communities. Embracing diversity in our programming creates valuable opportunities for dialogue, learning, and understanding among our members.
Collaboration for Re:Generation Events: Forge collaborative connections by working closely with the Programming Committee to successfully organize a minimum of two “Re:Generation” events annually. These content-focused evening series aim to partner with community organizations, shedding light on the successes and lessons learned in communities around DFW addressing issues related to Building Healthy Places, Environmental Justice, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion through Commercial Real Estate.
