Partnership Forum (PF)
Sharing many of the same characteristics as a ULI Product Council, the ULI Dallas-Fort Worth Partnership Forum is a purposely-limited, closed group of YLG members who participate in a minimum of 6 sessions during the class year led by two Moderators, who are recognized leaders within ULI Dallas-Fort Worth. In the tradition of ULI’s culture of sharing mistakes made and lessons learned, each session provides a focused, in-depth understanding on a single Metroplex development, starting at land assembly and dissecting all stages of development.

“Co-chairing and participating in the DFW Partnership Forums has been a great way to get more involved in ULI as a Young Leader. By participating, I have been able to get a behind the scenes look on a multitude of projects in the DFW Metroplex, including: the American Airlines Headquarters, Ventana by Buckner, The Statler, Hillwood Headquarters, and Frost Tower. In addition, Partnership Forum has provided opportunities to connect with well-established regional industry leaders, and connections within the ULI young leader group.”
“As a designer and project manager, Partnership Forum really opened my eyes to the fascinating stories behind what it took to get a variety of projects off the ground and to the point that a design consultant would traditionally have been engaged. This learning experience has been invaluable as I learn and grow both internally within my own firm and externally within the industry as a whole.”
“ULI Dallas-Fort Worth’s Partnership Forum provides you the opportunity to develop critical business connections in a relaxed environment. If you are looking for informal experiences to connect with ULI members, while also touring and learning about Dallas’ or Fort Worth’s more interesting projects, then ULIDFW’s YLG Partnership Forum is for you. The group is energetic, eager to learn, and events are more captivating than standard ULI events. I plan on applying again this year.”
“ULI’s Partnership Forum provides young professionals in the real estate industry an excellent opportunity to network with their peers and learn from experts in the field that have a wealth of knowledge to share. During my time in the program, I was able to forge lasting connections and get a “behind-the-scenes” look at some of the most interesting new developments and redevelopments that have shaped communities across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Throughout the past year, our group was able to meet and learn from industry leaders from some of the most reputable DFW based firms, such as: Hillwood, American Airlines, Crescent Real Estate, and many others. I would urge all young professionals in any sector of the real estate industry to apply to this program.”
Why should I participate?
The purpose of this program is to provide an ongoing opportunity to share and discuss with a group of peers the issues that real estate professionals face. The chance to learn in an atmosphere of confidentiality, trust, and respect is invaluable, and gives participants a chance to grow both professionally and personally by learning from others’ perspectives. As with any group, the more one puts into an activity, the greater the return from that experience. Benefits for participants include:
- The ability to work through current business problems, share career history, and engage in frank and honest idea exchange with peers in a confidential setting
- Two senior members of ULI as mentors who lead each session
- Business and personal networking with ULI peers
- Development of active listening and strong communication skills
- Professional and personal growth
