Small Scale Real Estate Development Summer Program
What would you build for your neighborhood? Have you ever walked past an empty building and thought “I could do something with that?” Do you wish your neighborhood had more life, more housing for locals, and more opportunities?
The Real Estate Development Summer Program is for people who are ready to take action to improve their block and their community – especially in neighborhoods that have been overlooked or left out. This program is about learning the tools to support building wealth for yourself, your family and defining the future of DFW.
• You don’t need any real estate experience. You just need to be curious, committed, and ready to learn
• It’s also for experienced builders, entrepreneurs, and investors who want to approach development in a more community-driven, equitable way. Whether you’re just getting started or already working on projects, you’re welcome here. You’ll leave with a plan and clear path forward — and the confidence to take the first step.
Sessions will take place on the following Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM:
● June 7, June 21, July 12, July 26, August 9, August 23
● The Course includes the 12 Steps of Town Making workbook. Each session covers two of the 12 Steps.
○ You will have about 10 hours of “practical homework” between sessions – work like visiting sites, talking to neighbors, or meeting with a banker
● Led by Monte Anderson of Neighborhood Evolution and Options Real Estate, and other visiting instructors. Monte is a nationally-respected developer and coach with lifetime roots in Southern Dallas.
● Sessions will be held at: 4315 Innovation Center, 4315 S Lancaster Rd Dallas, 75216
