After graduating from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) in 2011 with a bachelor of science in Architecture — as well as receiving the AIA Henry Adams Certificate of Merit — he went on to earn two master’s degrees, a Master of Architecture from UTA and a Master of Business Administration from Texas Christian University.
After working in the real estate development sector for over a decade, Goad started TrebleOak in 2021.
“It is an honor to serve as the new chair for ULI DFW’s District Council. ULI-DFW’s mission, ‘To shape, inspire, and transform the DFW-built environment and communities through education and engagement in alignment with ULI’s global mission,’ enables countless opportunities for our members and community,” Goad said. “Dallas-Fort Worth has a great future ahead, and I am happy to serve as chair among so many great real estate professionals in our market.”
Goad has been an avid member of ULI for many years, serving on the Governance Committee and Advisory Board as district council chair-elect, vice-chair of volunteer engagement and as a member of the ULI-DFW Mixed-Use Product Council. In 2014, he led the foundation of ULI’s Building Industry Leaders (BIL) program, a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Dallas and Tarrant County. The success of BIL in Dallas-Fort Worth has led to the program being adopted by other markets to aid other future leaders.
“Josh has been one of the most active ULI-DFW leaders the past several years and has been instrumental in our education and community outreach initiatives, including the Building Industry Leaders program,” Steve Modory, former chair of the ULI-DFW District Council, said. “There is no one better suited than Josh to lead our ULI district council for the next two years.”
In 2015, Goad was named ULI Dallas-Fort Worth’s Member of the Year because of his admirable work and service to the community. Beyond his work with ULI, Goad has served on the board for Camp John Marc, a DFW-based organization that provides high-quality camping experiences for children and families with chronic medical and physical challenges.
ULI-DFW is proud to see Goad assume this role and looks forward to the work he will accomplish leading the organization. Tamela Thornton, ULI-DFW executive director, spoke highly of Goad and what he will bring to this position: “Josh was the founding voice for the BIL and brings with him a new perspective and a very strong strategic and collaborative way of working to the council.”
